Mimi & Paw Paw’s Camp

Jack loves being outside…especially at Mimi and Paw Paw’s camp!  He had so much fun riding the four wheeler and playing in the rocks!  We built a fire so we could roast marshmallows and make s’mores.  Jack was great helper and gathered firewood for us :)  It was a great afternoon in the country!

     

Lake Charles Visit

We went home for two wonderfully long weeks!  While we were there we had so much fun!  I’m going to have to divide my pictures up so stay tuned! 

My parents love to go out to Prien Lake Park in the evenings so we joined them while we were there!  It was so relaxing and surprisingly cool.  The park has a water fountain kids can play in and Jack loved that!  Madeline slept the whole time of course!  She is still as sweet as ever!

I need him now...more than ever.

When I started my blog it was so everyone could keep in touch with us...but over the years its become somewhat of a diary of my life. I've always been one that writes when I can't express myself with words or I need to get something off my chest...for some reason its sort of cathartic for me...I could write on a piece of paper that I could eventually ball up and throw away, or I could write here where I have someone to listen. So if you are listening tonight...I need you to think of me and my family. I need you to say some prayers for us because we need strength, guidance & my dad needs healing.

It's been I'd say the story of my life...my precious dad who's so sick and never getting better it seems. I guess we'd always been told his heart condition would just continue to get worse, but its crazy dealing with someone who is so sick. People can tell you until you are blue in the face and you just go in and out of this strange way of going about your day life like its not real and trying to deal with it. I don't know what I'm doing...I can talk about it, but I don't believe it.

Today though I'm believing it because I'm seeing it and I'm feeling it. My dad is really sick...more sick than ever. Between his denial and ours I think we all feel so lost.

I feel so heart broken and tired and sad inside, and I want to go about my day like I have for the past year as if nothing is wrong. I can't even bear to think about the pain and sadness my dad must feel...

I need you to pray for all of us...for us to feel his strength and love now...more than ever.

Brotherly Love…

Jack has been doing much better with Madeline!  He isn’t as curious to see what happens when he tries new things out….to say the least.

Madeline is doing AMAZING…she’s still as easy as ever.  She is only waking up once at night, she’s eating great, and I can’t remember the last time I heard her cry.  I don’t know why I got so lucky but I did!

Garden & Bath Time…

I’ve gone from shelling peas on my maw maw & paw paw’s porch since I was in diapers to growing my own tomatoes in my OWN garden, and it makes me smile just to think about it :)

Here’s my latest product…

I just started bathing Jack & Madeline together.   So far so good :)

Trip to Austin

Last weekend we went to Austin to visit our friends Ashley & Bob.  We had such a great time, and we are so thankful for our wonderful hosts who embraced us and our two kiddos :) Thanks Ashley  & Bob for having us…we had a great time! 

We took Jack on a train ride where he was able to feed deer.  He loved it so much, and kept saying, “here deer…eat!”  and asking for “mo” food when he’d run out!  We also went to the children’s museum which was fun too!
