Happy Halloween

Halloween has been SOOOO much fun this year!  Jack has enjoyed it all so much, and we’ve just loved watching him get so excited!  It all started on Friday when Jack received a card in the mail from MiMi…he was so excited to open it!  He LOVES LOVES his Halloween books…thank you MiMi!!!  He even shared with Mady!

    

Saturday night our neighborhood celebrated Halloween!  We had friends over for the first gumbo of the season…and off trick or treating we went!  Jack & Madeline transformed into a fireman and pink cat :) At first Jack didn’t want to wear his costume, but after some bribing convincing he put it on.  When he saw all the other kids walking outside he got so excited!  He went door to door like a champ saying, “Please!” more than “Trick or Treat!” We had such a ball!

 

Madeline has pinkeye :( I guess it works…pink cat…pink eye (we make the best of situations!!!)

 

For sure…

For sure there is a God…one who loves us completely and always.

He brings us little angels…ones that we love with only a deepness that he can provide.  we wonder why something so beautiful for me?

 

So beautiful…such a gift…that the the sight of them brings us to tears.

a gift…from him….it had to be.

these little gifts…sometimes they are a challenge. we love them so dear, but they test us…they trust us and so does he. 

we know this because we find a way…because he helps us…guides us…even when we don’t ask him to.

 

sometimes we find ourselves in the hardest moments, and we aren’t sure how we’ll make it to the next…but we do.  we ask ourselves why? why me? we trust him…we have to because sometimes there are no answers right away…he has a plan for us we just know.

  

we hold on to each other and we believe.

we know we’ll find our way.  we just know…because he’s surrounded us with people we love…beautiful people with unending love just for us.

Fall Festival

Jack does this thing where he says, “One day I’ll….(ride a horse, ride a train, go to school, ride a bus)” and he says this stuff ALL THE TIME.  Well today his dreams came true and he rode a horse! We went to the neighborhood school’s fall festival.  It was a blast! Brad was post call and didn’t get to come, and Jack & Madeline were little angels! 

       

He was a little unsure, but once the horse started moving he was so into it! 

Ya’ll have to excuse my windy hair…and silly faces!  It was crazy windy out there!

Jack saw all the baked goods and said, “Momma, I need a treat!” So he got a mummy cupcake!  Madeline reached over and enjoyed a little too!

My sweet girl!!!!! Jack got a pony ride & a cupcake, and Madeline got a new bow :)
